Responsibilities
· Work with your manager on new software implementation projects, providing technical and analytical support and assistance with project management.
· Engage with key stakeholders to understand and analyse business processes and requirements ensuring that the projects being implemented are suitable and effective for the business and our customers.
· Develop new software functionality, reports, workflows, scripts, tools and macros to help the business grow and make the most of our existing IT infrastructure. This will include ongoing development of an internal .NET Core 8.0 MVC web application.
· Methodically test new software implementations, APIs, integrations and development projects and log bugs and issues with our support partners as required.
· Cleanse and prepare data during implementation and deployment.
· Working as part of a small but efficient IT team, you will also from time to time provide third level support & troubleshooting assistance for staff and customers, assist with the maintenance & administration of IT systems, and help provide user training, customer demonstrations and documentation when required.
Requirements
· Degree in Computer Science / Software Development / Engineering or related science / mathematical discipline.
· 3+ years working in IT, with software development.
· Strong problem solving & analytical skills, with a methodical and organised approach to work.
· Experience implementing an ERP system, supporting non-technical staff, creating user guides, videos and delivering training.
· Excellent project management skills, ability to work independently and can meet deadlines, prioritise work and mitigate risk.
· Proven experience working across the following technologies and systems;
- An Object Orientated Programming Language, preferably .NET C#
- MVC Architectural Pattern
- Entity Framework Core
- A RDBMS such as MySQL, MariaDB or MSSQL
- Experience of integrating with 3rd Party API’s
Familiarity with IT Security and Data Protection (GDPR) best practices and trends.
Desirable Requirements
Experience working with the following technologies.
Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policies.
ODBC connections.
Power BI, Microsoft Flow or other automation tools.
Experience of working with and knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI DSS and other industry standards.
