Mechanical Engineer - Production & Design

Bela Recruitment is hiring a Mechanical Engineer (Design & Production Support) based in the Dungannon area, Co.Tyrone Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work across several areas to support product creation.
Engineering - Prioritise workflow based on delivery dates for projects. Identify long lead items and tasks using critical path analysis. Work closely with other departments to ensure project requirements are met. Create and check drawings for in-house or third-party manufacturing.
Purchasing - Order parts, steel, or fasteners for live or upcoming projects.
Costing - Generate bills of material costs for projects. Record workshop times for project costings.
Workshop Personnel - Assist with training on safe and correct use of all workshop equipment. Advise with machine setup issues as and when required.
Maintenance - Fault find and rectify problems with workshop machinery if required.
Stores & Parts - Monitor gas levels onsite and consumables required.

Requirements
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
· Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks is preferred or strong desire to learn.
· Familiarity with logic controllers and system design.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures.
· A team player with great communication skills and ability to support workshop staff.
