Electrical Building Services Engineer

As Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will;

• Take responsibility for early-stage design and feasibility work
• Assist with developing detailed briefs in conjunction with the client & colleagues
• Carry out site surveys (including compliance assessments)
• Carry out stock condition assessments (recording information both digitally & manually)
• Prepare reports, including lifecycle & cost data and prepare detailed specifications
• Carry out detailed design work and assist colleagues with preparing tender information
• Respond to Contractor’s RFI’s and carry out compliance inspections of work undertaken
• Liaise with Clients, Contractors & internal and external consultants. Travel to client sites will be minimal and at most 1 day per month.

Skills and Experience:

• 3 years' post qualification experience within a commercial Building Services environment
• Bachelors degree (BEng) or Masters (MEng) in Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Self-motivated with strong communication skill and the ability to establish productive working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
• Software experience: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Experience of NBS Create and Autodesk Revit is advantageous but not essential. Full training will be provided as necessary.
• Excellent understanding of current regulations, CIBSE guides and their implication for design/maintenance of buildings including health sector standards.
