Lower Ormeau Residents Action Group

LORAG was formed in 1987 to support the residents of Lower Ormeau, to build confidence and develop activities to meet the needs of the community. The organisation works to improve the educational attainment and health of children, young people and adults, support parents in their role and address economic issues and poverty.

LORAG's Community Health / Sports Development project was established in 2005. The project operates across Inner South Neighbourhood Renewal Area (Donegall Pass, Lower Ormeau & Markets and works with all sections of the community. The organisation opened a new purpose built state-of-the-art sports facility in 2010. It organises sport and physical activity programmes for people of all ages and abilities, increase participation and community involvement in health related activities and increase the number of qualified local coaches and leaders.
