Belfast Film Festival

Belfast Film Festival is an international festival founded in 1995 and dedicated to screening the best in new, short and classic cinema from around the world. The festival is highly regarded across the country and proudly boasts a diverse and wide-ranging programme. Film as an experience is at the festival’s core, from site-specific screenings to premiere events, and moving image art exhibits.

In 2018, the festival launched a standalone documentary festival, Docs Ireland, an industry focussed, all Ireland international documentary festival. Celebrating documentary filmmaking and providing a platform for both national and international industries, Docs Ireland is a hub for cross-border collaboration, international co-productions and sales and distribution through the highly successful Docs Ireland Marketplace.
