Director of Finance & Corporate Services

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this small governmental arms length body in their search for a Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

The role:

• Support the CEO in developing and monitoring corporate and regeneration strategies.
• Advise the Board and sponsoring Department on finance, governance, and equality.
• Manage financial operations, including budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Lead on statutory accounts and liaise with auditors and sponsoring bodies.
• Oversee HR, recruitment, staff performance, and corporate policies.
• Ensure effective delivery of corporate affairs and equality compliance.
• Line manage a small team across finance, HR, and business support.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential

A recognised professional qualification in accountancy.

• Proven leadership in managing resources to deliver business objectives at senior level.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams to support strategic goals.
• Experience in shaping and executing business strategy.
• Skilled in building corporate reputation and influencing stakeholders through effective communication.
