Accounts Technician

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well established Practice based in Belfast , looking to recruit for an Accounts Technician on a full time, permanent basis.

The practice was established in 1992 providing a range of services such as Audit, Accounts, Tax (Personal + Corporate), Corporate Finance and Payroll. The company work with a range of clients across - NI, UK, ROI and US. Some of these industries include: construction, health care, professional services, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, IT, marketing and charity sectors

Job Duties of the Accounts Technician Include:

• Preparation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders/Partnerships.
• Involvement in ad-hoc work projects including client transactions, M&A, raising finance etc.
• Assist senior accountants with work flow on daily basis.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients

What You Need to be the Successful Accounts Technician?

• Ability to prepare accounts, financial statements and VAT returns individually and as part of a team.
• Work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
• Communicate financial information clearly and effectively
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience with Xero/QuickBooks or similar cloud-based accountancy software.
• Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Open to industry but Practice is preference
• Open to Part-Qualified
