Design Lead

MCS Group is delighted to partner with a forward-thinking leader in the banking sector, currently embarking on a transformative journey to redefine financial services. We're seeking an experienced Head of Design to lead and scale the design function, scaling their digital banking platform in a growing design team.

Role Overview:

As Design Lead, you’ll be instrumental in defining the creative and strategic direction of product design across the organisation. This role demands a blend of hands-on design expertise and high-level leadership to build, mentor, and inspire a growing design team. You’ll work closely with C-level stakeholders, guiding the user experience vision across multiple touchpoints and ensuring that design is a driving force in the company’s long-term success.

You'll Need:

• Proven track record in a Senior Design role.

• Strong background in leading/scaling design teams, developing design systems, and leading across multiple product verticals (Lead Designer, Head of Design, VP of Design, etc.)

• Expertise in tools like Figma, Sketch, and other industry-standard platforms, with the ability to guide teams in best practices.

• Deep understanding of user-centered design, research methodologies, and accessibility standards.

• Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels, from product teams to boardroom discussions.

• Strategic thinker.
