Are you passionate about shaping sustainable communities and contributing to long-term regeneration goals? Our client, a respected public sector organisation, is seeking a talented Planning Officer to join their Place Shaping Team within Land and Regeneration Services.

This role plays a vital part in housing-led regeneration initiatives, helping to transform communities through strategic planning and land use. It's an exciting opportunity for a planning professional eager to make a real impact on people’s lives and living environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver town planning services to support community planning and housing strategies.

• Contribute to regeneration schemes, including mixed-use and mixed-tenure developments.

• Conduct land asset evaluations, feasibility studies, and housing market analysis.

• Provide expert planning advice and support the Social Housing Development Programme.

• Liaise with local councils, stakeholders, and internal teams to support effective place shaping.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Town Planning (RTPI accredited or equivalent).

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a planning environment.

• Experience in at least two of the following:
  ?? Community-led regeneration
  ?? Site identification and assessment
  ?? Land asset management
  ?? GIS proficiency in planning projects

• A full UK driving licence or equivalent mobility.

Desirable:

• RTPI membership (or working towards it) or membership in an equivalent professional body (e.g., IPI, RICS - P&D).
