Senior Capital Project Manager
Role Description
The Capital Delivery Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of a major element of the programme of capital investment ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget and fit for purpose.
This role sits within the Developer Services team, which is responsible for providing all new connections to the water and sewerage network as a service. Our customers range from private developers, local housing associations, commercial & Industrial businesses, Government Departments, and household customers.
Reporting to the Head of Developer Services, the Senior Capital Project Manager will deliver a programme of wastewater Requisitions and First Time Service Schemes with a combined value of c.£6m per year. Within these projects, the jobholder will authorise payments, make important decisions involving complex financial and technical detail and be responsible for the capturing and reporting of relevant customer and financial data.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A third level qualification (e.g., Degree/ HNC/ HND or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ experience at middle management level (NI Water - Level 4/5) in a technical role in asset management, customer and operational delivery or engineering delivery
OR
Where you do not possess the relevant qualification; demonstrate a minimum of 4 years’ experience at middle management level (NI Water - Level 4/5) in a technical role in asset management, customer and operational delivery (operational) or engineering Capital delivery.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading and management of significant capital projects encompassing civil or mechanical or electrical or process engineering disciplines, this shall be programmes of work or individual projects totalling over £2m.
3. At least 3 years demonstrable experience of Contract Administration using recognised construction conditions of contract, (NEC or similar).
4. At least 3 years demonstrable practical knowledge and experience of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and practices; relevant to the Water Industry.
5. Demonstrable experience in successfully managing staff or project team to deliver high quality outputs within tight timeframes.
6. Experience of Stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships across NI Water and influence outcomes at Senior Management/Director Level.

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £42,356 - £55,808 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
