Care Assistant – Residential Home
Location: Belfast
Pay: £13.51–£17.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time & part-time shifts available (days, nights, weekends)

About the Role
We’re seeking warm, reliable, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team in a residential care home setting. You’ll be providing daily support to elderly residents and individuals with additional needs, ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and as much independence as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming

• Support residents with mobility, including use of hoists or walking aids where necessary

• Help during mealtimes – serving food, feeding where needed, and monitoring nutritional intake

• Provide companionship and emotional support, building meaningful relationships

• Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for care and supporting older people

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

• Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative

• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Desired Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 6 months’ previous experience in a care or support role (residential or similar)

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)

• Must be willing to complete an enhanced AccessNI check

• Right to work in the UK
