Senior Information Security Compliance Specialist

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Information Security Compliance Specialist on behalf of a prestigious global organisation with a strong presence in Belfast. You will play a key role in supporting client audit and compliance teams, providing in-depth knowledge of cyber controls, policies, and processes that safeguard sensitive data. Acting as the vital link between client compliance functions and IT, you’ll also support the organisation’s external accreditations including ISO27001 and SOC2.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver risk management and compliance activities across Information Security and IT teams.
• Respond to client compliance questionnaires and security assessments.
• Support ISO27001 and SOC2 certification processes including audit prep and coordination.
• Liaise with internal audit and track audit findings to resolution.
• Maintain and update the IT risk register, ensuring accountability and timely remediation.
• Monitor and report against key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance.
• Assist security operations with queries around risk and compliance.
• Design and recommend new controls based on identified risks.
• Lead Information Security risk assessments across projects, products, and change initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a driven, knowledgeable, and collaborative security professional with:

• Strong experience in Information Security, risk management, or IT audit.
• Solid understanding of standard security frameworks, including ISO27001, SOC2, and NIST.
• Ability to carry out and report on risk assessments and implement effective controls.
• A proactive and consultative approach to security risk and compliance.
