The Role
We are recruiting an Assistant HR Business Partner to be part of the newly established Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR).
Key Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all HR enquiries
- Providing advice and support to managers in handling of employment issues and the commissions disciplinary and grievance procedure. Assisting with investigations and presenting cases ensuring the procedures are followed consistently
- Advising managers on the management of sickness and absence
- Processing payroll in the HR system in a timely manner
- Supporting managers in developing and maintaining probation and performance review systems
- Supporting the HR business partners with the analysis and reporting of workforce information
- Assisting with the implementation of HR initiatives to ensure successful implementation
- Supporting the HR business partners with ad hoc projects
- Supporting, developing and running policy awareness events for line managers and other people related to training and development courses
- Inputting information on other HR systems including annual leave tracker and online training package
- Monitoring successful candidates through on-boarding process
- Supporting managers with bi-weekly corporate induction events
- Supporting HR business partners with developing and implementing inclusion and diversity strategies

Person specification
Qualification
- Associate CIPD or working towards.
Essential Criteria
- Sound knowledge of Employment legislation and implications for workforce.
- Experience of using HR Information Systems.
- Computer literate (Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and within multi-disciplinary environment.
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
- Experience in partnering with managers to conduct training needs analysis.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in using a range of analytical tools
- Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for CTC clearance, if not already cleared
