Technical Security Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with Invest NI to offer an exciting opportunity for a Technical Security Manager to join their dynamic ICT team based in Belfast. Invest NI is Northern Ireland’s regional economic development agency and plays a pivotal role in supporting business growth, innovation, and investment. As they continue to expand and strengthen their digital infrastructure, they are seeking a talented individual to lead and evolve their technical security function.

The Role:

As Technical Security Manager, you will take ownership of Invest NI’s security architecture, policies, and incident response frameworks. You will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems across a complex digital landscape.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and external partners, managing threat detection and cyber risk while embedding best practice across the organisation.

About You:

• You have experience working in IT or cyber security and a strong interest in developing secure, resilient systems
• You’re familiar with key security frameworks or standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or GovAssure – or you’re keen to build your knowledge in these areas
• You’ve worked with network or cloud-based systems and understand the importance of protecting hybrid environments
• You’re comfortable investigating security issues, assessing risks, and supporting wider teams in applying good security practices
• Most importantly, you’re proactive, collaborative, and eager to make a real impact in a fast-evolving ICT environment
