Reporting to the Practice Manager my Client based BT13 area of Belfast require a part-time Medical Receptionist/ Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent
Duties:
- Greeting patients in person and on telephone, making, cancelling appointments
- Update patient’s computer records as directed
- Liaising with various agencies where required to provide repeat prescriptions when authorised
- Coordinate patient appointments, hospital letters etc with staff members to ensure procedures are effective
- Diary management
- Register new patients
- Coding
- Scanning
- Organising, filing and maintaining patient records
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- 5 GCSE’s grade A to C inc English & Maths
- Fully computer literate
- Evidence of working in a team & on own initiative
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
- Flexibility to cover sickness & holidays
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a medical environment (working within a GP surgery advantageous) although full training will be given
Hours: 21.5 - 25 per week Mon - Fri 5 mornings or 4 mornings + 1 full day..
Salary: £13.19 ph
