The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrable understanding of health and safety legislation in public venues.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate large teams and complex events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts across venues, including evenings and weekends as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience using booking or event management systems.
  • Experience managing a theatre or public-facing conference venue.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing cultural and conference facilities for performances, civic events and commercial hires.
  • Leading on site setups, risk assessments, health & safety processes and customer liaison.
  • Overseeing rotas for cleaners and front-of-house/event staff.
  • Serving as Duty Officer during key events and performances.
  • Acting as the main contact for clients and liaising with internal teams and contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Supporting stock control, budgeting, financial reconciliation and staff training.
  • Deputising for senior managers across arts and conferencing operations
