Our client is a well established engineering business who, due
to continued business success, have a need for an additional Supply Chain Manager
to join the team. The appointed person can be based either
on site in Co Down or Co Louth.
The Successful
Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships to
ensure efficiency and sustainability across the supply chain. The role requires
strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of
supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
· Design and execute supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and
enhance service levels
· Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize
disruptions
· Collaborate with suppliers & manufacturers to ensure a smooth supply
flow
· Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
(set performance indicators KPI’s)
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and
environmental sustainability initiatives
· Ensure timely purchasing and delivery of materials to meet project
programmes
· Coordinate with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
· Carry out supplier factory visits to audit performance and ensure high
quality service
Criteria:
· 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics.
· Experience of strategic planning, systems analysis and evaluation of
supply chain
· Experience in procurement and vendor management
· Ability to manage multiple supply chain partners
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
while maintaining accuracy
· In-depth understanding of risk management within the supply chain of the
company
· Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM,
ERP systems).
· CIPS qualification Is desirable
Salary is in
the region of £40-50k dependent upon experience. The role comes with a range of
