Head of Department | Route to Partnership

Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 DOE

We are thrilled to be working with a very well-established law firm in Newtownabbey to recruit an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor to head up their long-standing Private Client department. This is a standout opportunity for a senior solicitor ready to lead a well-regarded team and take the next step in their career with a clear route to partnership.

About the Role
You will take the lead on a busy and varied private client caseload, while also playing a key role in the growth and strategic direction of the department. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of the practice.
Your work will include:

• Drafting wills and advising on inheritance planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters
• Trusts and tax planning
• Advising high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified Solicitor (NI) with experience in wills, probate and estate planning
• Strong technical expertise and the ability to manage a full caseload independently
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A proactive and compassionate approach to client service
• Leadership qualities and a desire to contribute to business development
• Ambition to progress to partnership and lead a team
