Quantity Surveyor (PQS)

A Quantity Surveying practice in Belfast is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their professional team. The company have an expanding range of new commercial and historic building conservation projects which will stimulate and provide job satisfaction to new team members who are willing to provide commitment and work in a close team environment.

?The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for construction projects from inception to completion; pre and post contract duties will include:

•  Liaise with client, contractors, suppliers to ensure information, costs, profitability and value, meet the requirements of each project.
• Cost planning.
• Contractual administration of both NEC and JCT Standard Forms
• Tender and Bill of Quantities Production.
• Value Engineering.
• Preparation of monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, valuation and agreement of final accounts.
• Undertake the preparation and processing of quotations.
• Prepare cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Prior pre and post contract experience as a construction QS role working on major projects
• 5 years post qualification experience
• Strong understanding of construction contract conditions
• Educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent qualification
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software
