James Turley Barber Rooms at 477 Lisburn Road is a well-established barber known for great quality gentleman’s grooming in Belfast and has now recently relocated to new barber rooms in South Belfast.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team. This position is a ‘be our own boss’ or ’rent a chair, it allows for flexible working hours and can be up to full time.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in barbering techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts and grooming services while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all clients. In addition to a CV if you can direct us to a social media account or media file show some examples of your work.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of barbering services including haircuts, beard trims, and shaves.
• Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and tools.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.
• Promote products and services to enhance the client experience.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations within the salon environment.
• Maintain their own clients’ appointments

Experience

• Proven experience as a Barber.
• Strong skills in hair styling and barbering techniques.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with clients effectively.
• A customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in barbering are advantageous but not mandatory.
