HR Officer – Cookstown

Are you an HR Officer looking for the next step in your career?

MCS group are excited to be working with growing manufacturing company, recruiting for an HR Officer to join their dynamic team.

Overview

As HR Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out all HR functions, in line with wider business goals and strategies. In this standalone role, you will have the opportunity to continue improving company performance and employee experience through HR processes.

The main responsibilities

  • Manage all HR administration, including onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and maintaining employee records on the HRIS, while addressing any related queries.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, from sourcing and interviewing to making offers, and manage graduate and apprentice programmes in collaboration with universities and schools.
  • Work with leadership on talent management, supporting performance reviews, feedback processes, and strategies to enhance employee retention and development.
  • Oversee Learning & Development initiatives by organising training sessions and coordinating with internal and external providers to meet organisational needs.
  • Provide comprehensive support on employee relations, handling grievances, absence management, and offering guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, including CSR programmes, to foster a positive organisational culture and staff morale.
  • Assist the senior management team through strategic HR projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.
  • Analyse skills gaps and resource needs, providing solutions through targeted recruitment and internal development to fill future shortfalls.

The ideal candidate

  • Experience in a similar role and industry
  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
  • HR Management or relevant 3rd level degree preferred
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS suite.
