Compliance Manager- Public Sector

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a large Public Sector organisation based in County Antrim in their search for a Compliance Manager. This role sits as a key fundamental in the Corporate Services function. This role is an initial temporary post, with a chance of extension.

The Role:

• Develop and implement strategies across procurement, insurance, risk management, and audit coordination to promote a strong culture of compliance and good governance.

• Provide leadership in procurement and contract management, ensuring value-for-money, legal compliance, effective risk management, and resolution of procurement issues.

• Oversee insurance coverage and risk frameworks to protect assets and manage financial exposure. Provide strategic advice, monitor claims trends, and drive continuous improvement.

• Act as the primary liaison for internal audit activity, ensure timely implementation of recommendations, and monitor compliance with relevant legislation and internal governance standards.

• Lead a high-performing compliance team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support service delivery, contract performance, and compliance.

• Develop and deliver training, review and update governance policies, and produce clear reports with strategic insights for senior leadership.

• Monitor budgets and expenditure, respond to audit recommendations, and pursue personal development to maintain high performance standards and continuous improvement.

The Person:

• A Degree in any discipline or full membership of a professional accountancy, procurement, insurance or risk management body.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance, procurement, insurance, risk management, or audit role.

• 3 years’ experience of developing and implementing strategies and policies to achieve outcomes for the organisation.

• Full Driving License and access to form of transport.
