Senior Electrical Engineer (New products)

MCS Group is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer for the role of Senior Electrical Engineer. Our client is a fast-moving, innovative engineering company that’s making a real impact worldwide.

Our client is passionate about designing and producing cutting-edge equipment that improves lives & the environment. As they continue to expand, they’re on the lookout for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Your Role:

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of electrical innovation, working on exciting projects and solutions for the green tech industry. You’ll be responsible for leading electrical design processes, ensuring accuracy in product development, and supporting manufacturing operations. Your key tasks will include:

• Designing and prototyping electrical components and control systems.
• Leading product definition, review, and documentation.
• Developing control systems including CAN bus and Modbus networks.
• Troubleshooting machine malfunctions and supporting cross-functional teams.
• Creating PLC software
• Providing technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborating with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure smooth production.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering with design experience in the engineering/equipment industry.
• Experience in electrical control panel design.
• Strong knowledge of standards.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems is a bonus.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
