Your new role
As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions using Sage 50 accounting software, including managing sales and purchase ledgers, petty cash, credit cards, and bank lodgements. You will assist in preparing monthly and quarterly finance reports to support funding claims, and handle the preparation of year-end claims and statutory audits. Additionally, you will manage payroll processing and documentation.Beyond financial duties, you will provide high-quality support to the Executive team and Board, including minute-taking and governance support. Your role will also involve HR administrative tasks, preparing management information reports, and assisting with facilities and ICT support. Occasionally, you may provide backup to front-of-house services during staff absences.
What you'll need to succeed
•Qualifications: A qualification in accounting/bookkeeping.
•Experience: At least one year of experience in a finance/bookkeeping role, with experience in payroll processing and administrative support.
•Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong analytical and reporting skills, excellent organisational abilities, and effective team working skills.
•Attributes: Self-motivated, open to growth, and committed to the organisation's values and aims.
•Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly as needed.
