VANRATH are proud to represent this leading global professional services firm who are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join its Partners’ Affairs and Tax (PAT) team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of international tax matters, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions and managing tax risks for the firm and its partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the tax systems across the firm’s international locations and gain expertise in partner tax matters.
- Oversee tax compliance, coordinating with advisors and internal teams to support local CFOs with tax filings for the firm and its partners.
- Manage year-end processes, including non-UK tax reserve calculations, tax equalisation, and fiscal accounts reporting.
- Reconcile partners’ non-UK tax reserves and review ad hoc tax filings in non-firm locations.
- Assess and mitigate withholding tax exposures related to client transactions and interoffice settlements.
- Provide tax advisory support on mobility issues and employees working across jurisdictions.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing tax processes to ensure compliance with regulatory changes and business developments.
- Supervise and support junior tax team members based in multiple locations.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts clearly to non-specialists.
- Knowledge of international tax issues affecting professional partnerships.
- Experience managing tax compliance and advisory projects across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Relevant accounting or tax qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA).
- Prior experience in personal or corporate tax at a managerial level.
