VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a recognisable organisation within the education sector who are currently recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This role will report to the Finance Manager and will play an integral role in the finance team across the business. If you are comfortable within general accounts administration, along with supervisory experience this could be the ideal role for you.

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for the efficient and effective financial management of the organisation, including assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, preparing monthly bank accounts and cash flow forecasts and management of Accounts Payable & Receivable.

About you

• Part-Qualified Accountant/Qualified by Experience
• Strong experience with accounting and payroll software
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with non-finance staff
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Available at short notice

What you’ll do

• Assist in production of monthly management accounts
• Preparing and inputting journals
• Credit card reconciliations
• Supervising Accounts Payable function
• Management of Petty Cash
• Processing monthly salaries
• General accounts administration
