MCS Group is delighted to partner with a global financial services organisation based in Belfast to recruit for an Assistant Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

Our client is global financial services company based in Belfast and have multiple offices across EMEA, APAC and Americas. Their group of companies provide a range of services to their global customers base. Now is a great time to be joining the company as they look to add a newly created Senior Internal Audit Manager role to their Belfast office due to continued growth.

The Role:

As the successful Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

• Responsible for the monthly end to end compensation journal process
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensure reconciliation of all balances back to the relevant calculations and records.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for P&L and BS
• Assist in the delivery of the annual statutory accounts for the Group
• Responsible for compensation related queries during year-end audit processes
• Other duties as outlined in the full job description.

The Person:

The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Part Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Accounts Technician qualification;
• Open to industry or practice background;
• Previous experience in detailed Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
• Strong communication skills.
