Purchase Ledger | Temporary | North West | URGENT!
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established and successful building contractors in the North West and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team.
This is a full time opportunity, office based and the hours of work are 40 per week, from 7.30am to 4.30pm and an earlier Friday finish.
Reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of a team of 3 staff in finance, the Purchase ledger will manage all aspects of the purchase ledger function.
Specific duties will involve:
Processing invoices (high volume)
Statement reconciliation
Management of subcontractor invoices and payments
Query resolution
Preparing invoices for payment
Assisting with month-end close
Taking management of the payroll function for 80 employees
The Person:
Applicants will have a good working knowledge of the purchase ledger function from processing invoices to month-end close.
Applicants will have previous payroll experience or be willing to learn.
Applicants will have a working knowledge of computerised accounting software, ideally Xero but training will be provided.
Applicants will work well in a small team environment.
Applicants will be able to work full time in the office, 40 hours per week.
