The Role We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our team and contribute to delivering significant and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of large-scale projects across sectors such as Build to Rent (BTR) and Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA).
  • Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, including appraisal, feasibility, design, construction, and operation.
  • Manage significant development pipelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Devise and implement strategic actions to achieve project goals, bringing clarity to complex situations.
  • Leverage a well-developed network within the BTR/PBSA sectors to enhance project outcomes.
  • Develop and execute marketing and PR strategies to support commercial success and brand awareness.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive working environment while influencing key stakeholders.
  • Introduce innovative ideas and industry insights to add value and strengthen project delivery.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a Developer
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects within areas such as Build to Rent (BTR) / Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to operation.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and ability to manage ambiguity while providing clear direction.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within marketing and PR, with a strong understanding of how these elements contribute to commercial success.
  • Knowledge of other relevant sectors or project types outside BTR/PBSA.
  • Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., construction, development, or project management).
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to adopt a hands-on approach.
