As they continue to expand, they are seeking an Electrical Vehicle Engineer to join their dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of electric vehicle technology.

???? Location: Belfast (Permanent, Monday - Friday)

???? Salary: Competitive + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EV charging systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and technical standards.

  • Conduct electrical assessments and produce technical drawings and schematics for infrastructure projects.

  • Oversee the selection of electrical components and materials, ensuring consistency and high-quality installations.

  • Act as a technical expert in EV charge point installations, providing support to internal teams and clients.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and distribution network operators (DNOs) to ensure project feasibility.

  • Support tender processes by providing specialist electrical knowledge and technical input.

  • Generate bills of materials for electrical installations and infrastructure projects.

  • Assist customers through technical evaluations, offering guidance on system compatibility and installation.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and technical issues related to EV infrastructure.

  • Develop training materials for internal teams, ensuring a strong knowledge base across technical support and customer service.

What You’ll Need:

? Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
? Affiliation with a professional body (IET, IEI preferred).
? Working towards or open to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
? Expertise in BS 7671 wiring regulations and associated EV guidance.
? Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail in technical design.
? Experience working with grid infrastructure, including HV, MV, and LV networks.
? Familiarity with AutoCAD for technical drawing and design work.
? Previous experience conducting site surveys and evaluating project feasibility.
