- THE ROLE -
Working closely with the BI and Database Services Manager, the BI Engineer will play a key role in the development, support and maintenance of Business Intelligence & Analytics solutions and platforms that support University business processes.
The post holder will be deeply involved in the full development cycle, including systems configuration, solution development, ETL and presentation of data, undertaking requirements gathering, writing specifications/documentation and setting up and executing test plans. They will also participate in operational 2nd line support ensuring assigned tickets are managed using incident management, version control and release management tools as required and will be responsible for ensuring all data transfers and data integrations of student data meet legal requirements and adhere to data governance and quality criteria.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in an Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and a professional qualification.
- A technical background with demonstrable experience of providing second and third level support to Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.
