Honeycomb is delighted to be working alongside our reputable client, a leading school within Northern Ireland, to recruit for a Facilities Manager, to join their team in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading establishment that takes great pride in the services they provide.
The Facilities Manager is a key role for the business. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all pupils and staff, alongside maintaining a range of sports facilities sites across Belfast. Duties of this role include:
- Maintaining all facilities within the school premises, putting safety and attention to detail at the forefront of every decision.
- Work closely alongside key stakeholders, to develop a property maintenance programme to and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
- Delegation of tasks to the wider facilities team, assigning work, maintaining staff morale, and conducting performance/absence reviews.
- Procurement duties and acquiring facilities management services, responding to issues flagged across multiple sites and assigning work orders to contractors where applicable.
- Responsible for daily upkeep of school grounds and ensuring that any allocated works across sites have been completed to the highest of standards.
- Upholding effective communication between internal departments to ensure a smooth flow to daily operations.
- Manage the performance of contracts, working to KPIs, assisting with budgets, and providing the main point of contact for contracts managers.
- High level of attention to detail and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, varied role.
The Right Person for this role will have previous managerial experience and be well accustomed to working in a fast paced, varied role. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a similar position, where you have held responsibility for facilities management. A level 4 qualification is essential for this role, and experience gained within an education environment is advantageous but not essential.
The Package for this role includes an attractive salary ranging from £45000 - £5, dependant on experience, alongside wider attractive company benefits.
