Student and Campus Life (SCL) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Gaming Café Manager at our new development on Belfast Lisburn Road. Created for our students and the general public, this exciting new facility combines ESports and traditional board games in a state of the art development with café and retail facility’s. Your role will involve day to day management of the building, building relationships and community with our customer base and supervising a team of multidisciplinary staff.

This is a full-time position on campus. The position involves working in a shift pattern over 7 days, a 18% shift allowance will be paid.
About the person:
You must have:
- Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. NVQ Level 3, A levels in relevant subject plus significant relevant experience of managing a busy café at the required level OR substantial relevant experience as outlined below.
- Relevant experience, to include:
- Experience of recruitment, training, induction, and line management of a range of staff
- Budget management experience
- Experience of managing financial transactions (to include EPOS till system)
- Visual merchandising experience
- Events management experience
- An ideal candidate would also have experience of promotion via digital and social media channels and managing web pages.
