Pest Control Operative Required in Belfast
Full-time | £13.05 per hour
Purpose:
Support pest control operations by baiting sewers, assisting in drain testing, and ensuring tasks meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bait sewers, drains, and open spaces.
- Assist with sewer/smoke tests and pest control on infrastructure sites.
- Handle poisons safely and conduct risk assessments.
- Maintain records and reports.
- Drive and maintain the sewer van, ensuring safe transport of materials.
- Support training programs and liaise with external organizations.
- Follow council policies on health, safety, and customer care.
Requirements:
- Full driving license or access to transport.
- 1+ year of experience in:
- Following health and safety procedures.
- Dealing with the public.
- Obtain Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Rodenticides within 6 months if not already held.
Skills:
- Communication and customer care.
- Teamwork and problem-solving.
- Work planning and IT proficiency.
- Report writing and safety knowledge.
