Senior Software Developer

MCS is excited to be working exclusively in the search for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking technology team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company dedicated to connecting businesses in their sector.

About the Role:

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building scalable, reliable services that power the company's platform. Working within a cross-functional team, you will contribute to developing impactful features that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and refine core services within a service-oriented architecture.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-value features.

• Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure robust solutions.

• Actively participate in enhancing engineering processes to improve collaboration and efficiency.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge to encourage team growth.

What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency in a JVM language such as Kotlin, Java, Scala, or C# and Python

• Strong background in building solutions within SOA and/or Microservices environments.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for production services.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.

• A proactive mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
