Health And Safety Manager

Reed are working with a construction/engineering business who are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join the team. The business has grown to the point that this new position is required to oversee Health & Safety in this standalone role.

The role will be office based with some site visits circa 1-2 days a week.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Implement and monitor health and safety protocols across various project sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
• Deliver comprehensive safety training programs to staff and contractors.
• Oversee occupational health matters, including risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure all practices adhere to legal and company standards.
• Manage and coordinate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills.
• Experience in delivering Safety Training and conducting risk assessments.
• NEBOSH certification.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Relevant experience in the mechanical building services industry is highly advantageous.
