VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with an innovative tech business based in Belfast City Centre to recruit a technically strong Financial Accountant to join the growing finance team based in their state of the art offices.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will have responsibility for financial reporting for a number of entities and would suit a technically strong accountant keen to join a fast paced international business

About you

• Qualified accountant (ideally BIG 4 trained with 1-2 years PQE)
• Excellent Excel and systems experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with remote senior stakeholders

What you’ll do

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, or other applicable accounting standard
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and assist in external audits
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support business activities and regulatory changes
• Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicator reporting
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Collaborate with tax teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and senior management
