Deputy Principal Accountant

This role is in the Northern Ireland Civil Service - Northern Ireland Courts & Tribunial Services department.

Your new role
Support the functioning of the wider NICTS Financial Reporting and Governance team (FRAG).

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of the Agency and Trust Statement Annual Report and Accounts;
• Preparing and approving journals as part of the month-end close process (income, expenditure, payroll, fixed assets etc.);
• Reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual schedules prepared by SO and EO1 staff;
• Assisting in the processing of compensation scheme payments and receipts on behalf of other organisations handled by NICTS;
• Assisting in the oversight of the credit control function;
• Assisting in the cash management function

What you'll need to succeed
An active member of an accredited accountancy body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc or the equivalent)
