MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company to recruit a principal formulation Chemist.
As a principal formulation chemist, you will work in a diverse team of scientists to develop a wide range of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Early-Stage development and optimisation of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
- Prepare and support the submission of documents and regulatory responses in consideration of VICH guidelines
- Mentoring and supporting the formulation chemists.
- Preparing and maintaining SOPs and ensuring the SOPs and formulation records are being adhered to at all times
- Assist in the training of laboratory staff in SOPs and operational techniques
- Maintain an awareness of current trends and developing technologies in the manufacture of pharmaceutical dosage forms
- Liase with staff across R&D and partner groups in operations and QC
- Lead technical investigations cross functionally employing problem solving tools
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmacy or related subject
- Experience in formulation/pharmaceutical product development industry
- Experience in the use of QbD principles for pharmaceutical development
- Right to work in the UK/ Ireland
