Role Overview

Due to the continued success and growth of our Fit-Out Division across a range of sectors we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator with over 3-5 years experience to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be working with multinational clients, responsible for ensuring projects are priced and submitted to clients meeting key criteria requested. This is an opportunity for an Estimator wanting to further develop their career with a forward-thinking company that prides itself in investing in people.

What you'll do

The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:

· Carry out pre Tender site visits through out the UK and Ireland

· Manage the tender process and Tender deliverables

* Where applicable prepare accurate Bills of Quantities from drawings, specifications and schedule of finishes

· Issue enquiries for work packages, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

· Completion of priced Bills of Quantities

· Assessing the levels of risk on a project.

· Provide support to the Bid Team in tender preparations

· Calculate site preliminary costs

· Present tender submission to the Commercial Manager for approval

· Submission of Tenders by deadlines

· Lead meetings and complete handover to operations from pre to post contact.

· Attend post Tender interviews with the Client and Design team

· Work along side the Quantity Surveying team to deliver the commercial strategy

What you’ll bring

As an Estimator your main skills and experience will include:

Essential Criteria

• Have significant relevant Estimating experience within a Fit Out/ Construction company, over 3 years experience

• Possess either a Third Level Qualification in construction related subject or demonstrate significant and high level of experience obtained working in a comparable role

• Demonstrate knowledge of estimating on previous projects.

• Have an extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used on to analyse costs.

• Keeping up to date with pricing matrices and inflationary impacts

• Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Information Technology in general

· Good commercial acumen to develop further opportunities

• Experience in the retail sector would be beneficial

• Experience in using estimating software such as conquest would be advantageous

• Travel though out the UK and Ireland as and when required
