You will maintain and
repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and
associated administrative duties.
The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a
comprehensive description of all tasks:

Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Translink fleet
to PCV standards.
·
Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle
systems as appropriate.
·
Remove and replace vehicle components.
·
Respond to vehicle breakdowns.
·
Complete administrative duties associated with the
post.
Other appropriate duties.
Essential Criteria
·
Recognised Vehicle
Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or
discipline.
·
Minimum of 2 years’ post
apprenticeship experience in a similar role within an automotive environment.
· Full
current driving licence.
· Able to obtain
a PCV licence.
Desirable Criteria
·
Experience in a similar role working on commercial
vehicles.
·
Relevant
engineering experience on buses and/or coaches.
·
Experience of using IT
packages.
·
Possess large vehicle licence,
preferably a PCV licence.
