(HCC) A good standard of written English and Mathematics to at least GCSE C level 4 which can demonstrate an ability to work at this level or demonstrate relevant experience.

Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary:
To provide clerical, reception and secretarial support as allocated. To assist with the implementation and provision of quality standards and customer care in the Tourist Information Centres and assist with the implementation of Tourism NI Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To provide tourist information and advice to the public and other bodies as requested.
2. Respond to both face to face and telephone enquiries from members of the public.
3. To assist in the day to day operation of the shop, including use of the cash register, general maintenance, stock control and merchandising as required.
4. Receipt, security of money and preparation of lodgements as required.
5. To operate and maintain manual and computerised information/filing systems including databases and spreadsheets together with the operation of a computerised accommodation reservation system.
6. To assist in the operation of a festival office and process ticket sales for major events in the District.
7. Assist with a range of clerical tasks including the preparation of timesheets and accounts for payment etc.
8. Process correspondence and complaints in accordance with the Councils policies and procedures escalating to the appropriate officer where appropriate.
9. Provide a secretarial and word-processing service including drafting and word-processing letters, agendas, minutes, reports etc.
10.Undertake a range of clerical tasks including filing, faxing, photocopying, keeping records of meetings etc.
11.To attend meetings and receptions as required.
12.To contribute to Corporate, Departmental and Regional working groups as required.
13.To assist in the preparation and implementation of the Service Business Plan.
14.To ensure that corporate policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
