Are you looking for a Junior Buyer role? Interested in working for a leading engineering and infrastructure contractor.
VANRATH are recruiting a Junior Buyer to sit within the commercial department of a leading contractor
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with Project Teams to confirm material and plant requirements
• Assist the buyer in identification of potential suppliers
• Supporting the Buyer in obtaining quotations for materials & plant
• Contacting a range of suppliers and sub?contractors to obtain quotations
• Reviewing quotations received and identifying best value options
• Coordinating with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
• Agreeing delivery times
• Processing purchase orders
• Assisting the Pre-Contract team in obtaining prices for use in tendering
• Confirming daily call-off quantities from bulk orders
• Supporting the Commercial team with invoice queries
• Liaising with suppliers in relation to invoice queries and resolving any disputed invoices in a timely manner
• Keeping detailed records and maintaining well?organised work schedules
• Providing weekly and monthly cost reports to Commercial team based on orders placed & delivered
• Updating procurement schedules with orders confirmed
• Updating materials ordered / delivered register

The Ideal Person:

• Knowledge and understanding of Construction Materials
• Experience of Purchase Order System
• Good Communication Skills
• Strong teamwork
• Attention to detail
