To support production by being the first contact point for
material issues or constraints, related transactional activity and lean
support. The scope of line logistics responsibilities stretches from receiving
to the drop zone.
To execute shop floor focused transactions in support of
parts supply both internal and external, to ensure that master schedule is
achieved, maintained and utilised assets optimised.
To operate transactional systems to world-class levels of
data accuracy to minimising write-off and inventories.
Principal accountabilities:

Ensures & actions timely supply of
material to shop floor to meet schedule.
·
Operates all operational and transactional
systems within their area of responsibility and is accountable for ensuring the
highest levels of data accuracy and the integrity of that data are achieved and
maintained.

Gathers and analyses statistical information
on process performance
·
Collaborates with other functions, SLA, supply
centres and service providers
·
Management of up to 2000 parts.
·
Support scrap/ loss and rejection processes
with transactions and parts management in TipQA and MAXIM to support data
accuracy, minimise schedule impact and support fast turnaround.
· Ensure material constraints do not impact schedule and
maximum visibility is provided.
·
Represents the function (Supply Chain) at
daily shift and natural team meetings, works closely with lead hand and OTM and
support lean requirements.
·
Liaise with despatch to check and validate
shipment of loose items/ attrition and transact on IDMS and ensure availability
or returnables.
Candidate Requirements:

4 GCSEs including Maths and English (c or
above) or equivalent with 3 years stores or material planning / logistics
experience.
OR
·
2 A levels (C or above) or equivalent with 2
years’ stores or material planning / logistics experience.
·
Effective communication skills
·
The ability to work under pressure and manage
multiple priorities
·
Knowledge and experience of MRP systems or
other stores IT systems
·
IT skills re normal windows package
·
Ability to work as part of a team with stores,
quality and operations.
