Shift Manager – Food Manufacturing | Drogheda | Mon-Fri Nights

MCS Group are proud to be recruiting a Shift Manager on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Drogheda. This role offers the opportunity to lead, manage, and optimise shift operations in a 24/7 production facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all shift operations across production, dispatch, and stores
• Ensure production targets are met while optimising efficiency and minimising waste
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 employees
• Uphold quality, health & safety, and food safety standards (BRC, HACCP, GMP)
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage shift reporting, staffing, and performance issues
• Ensure effective communication between teams and shift handovers

What You Need:

• Supervisory or managerial experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of health & safety, quality assurance, and operational efficiency
• Experience leading teams and making real-time operational decisions
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• Training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence
• Experience working with BRC, HACCP, and other food safety standards

Working Pattern:

• Mon-Fri Nights 23.00 – 07.30
• 24/7 site operation – flexibility required
