Housing Team Lead (Downpatrick)

Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large charitable organisation, looking to recruit Permanent Housing Team Lead in the Downpatrick area.

The Client – Supports young people aged 16-25 in the community.

The Role: The individual will be responsible for working with young people to build the skills and confidence needed to maintain their own homes.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• To lead and manage a team of Support Workers including the completion of formal and informal supervisions.
• To promote best practice in supporting young people and ensure the smooth running of the housing service.
• Participate in the management, review, planning and development of the Support Housing.
• To develop, implement and review a rota to best meet the needs of the service.
• Evaluate and monitor agreed targets against Supported Housing Balance Scorecard.
• To support the development and implementation of social pedagogy approach to practice within the team.
• To provide awareness of Housing Rights of young people and advocate on their behalf.
• To prepare and engage in monthly supervision and team meetings on agreed targets.
• Updating and maintenance of MACS databases on a regular basis to ensure effective governance.

Qualifications/ Experience:

• 3 years’ experience of working with young people in supported housing or similar environment.

OR

• Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar

AND

• 2 years’ experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support.

Desirable:

• To be NISCC registered and if not, and successful post interview, to be willing to enrol on the register.
