Science Technician

Randstad are currently recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Metropolitan College for a number of Science Technicians to work in their Titanic Quarter campus on a temporary basis.

Requirements:

• Hold a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Biology
• GCSE in Maths and English, minimum grade C
• Experience in preparing microbiology practical experiments

Responsibilities:

• Setting up equipment in the laboratory environment for practical lessons
• Stock taking, retrieving and putting away equipment along with any other duties deemed necessary by the Department.
• Assisting the teachers with research experiments by preparing samples, running assays, and collecting data.
• Keeping the laboratory clean and organised, including proper disposal of waste.
