Floating Support Worker ( Multiple Opportunities Belfast & Newry)

Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large charitable organisation, looking to recruit Permanent Floating Support Workers ( x3 in Belfast & 1 in Newry).

The Client – Supports young people aged 16-25 in the community.

The Role: The individual will be responsible for working with young people to build the skills and confidence needed to maintain their own homes.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• To provide holistic support on a one to one and group basis to all young people accessing the service.
• Adhere to NISCC standard of conduct and policies and procedures including Child Protection, Adult Safeguarding and lone worker.
• To maintain and review accurate and up to date records of support provided to young people/
• The creation of safety plans and ensuring regular reviews.
• To provide awareness of the Housing Rights of young people and to advocate on their behalf.
• To proactively maintain a waiting list, prioritising waiting list and providing regular support.

Qualifications/ Experience:

• 1 years’ experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or similar environment.
• A full, current driving license and access to a car insured for business use.
• To be NISCC registered or to be willing to apply to be NISCC registered on successful appointment to post.

OR

• Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar

AND

• 6 months experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support.
