People & Culture Manager – 4 day week - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing private sector organisation in Belfast who are looking to add a People & Culture Manager to their team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Professional who is looking to have full ownership of the HR function within a growing organisation.

The role:

I am looking for a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Manager to lead the HR function and champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that support organisational goals, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.

The main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organisation’s mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Lead on employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and best HR practices, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinaries, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and maintain effective HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and fit for purpose.
  • Lead on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that the organisation promotes equal opportunities.
  • Work closely with leadership to drive organisational change and support workforce planning.
  • Manage payroll processes in collaboration with the finance team, ensuring accurate salary payments and benefits administration.
  • Oversee HR systems and data management, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Deliver HR-related training and development to managers and staff as required.
  • Monitor key HR metrics and provide reports to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR management role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
