VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a leading all Ireland business, with offices located in Belfast and Dublin, to appoint a HR & H&S Manager to the team, on a full-time permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting to the MD, this standalone role will oversee the entirety of the HR function, supporting employees both North and South of Ireland.

The role will focus on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance and talent management, as well as overseeing the compliance and maintenance of the H&S and Quality Management systems.

Responsibilities

• Management of the HRIS system.
• Manage sickness absence including conducting return to work interviews.
• Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures including providing advice to line managers.
• Organise relevant staff training and maintain training matrix.
• Creating new HR policies as required and reviewing/updating current policies.
• Implementation of and maintaining the performance review system.
• Workforce planning in line with the overall business strategy including the recruitment and selection of new staff and conducting interviews.
• Onboarding process
• Organise and facilitate employee satisfaction surveys and focus groups.
• Provide KPIs and relevant data at monthly meeting
• Assist with external H&S audits
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies
• Investigate accidents and maintain accident records.
• Review/update H&S policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with HSQE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Manage ISO Quality Management system.

The Person

• CIPD qualified
• 3 -5years in a full generalist HR role, ideally with exp of operating within a standalone role
• H&S Qualification NEBOSH / IOSH highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and fully conversant with MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience of mediating and successfully managing conflict resolution
• Independent thinker with strong decision-making skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organisation to drive change.
